Relocation after a Divorce

What is a good reason for relocating back to the state where I was born and raised after a divorce if I have (2) girls (age 6 & 8) and the Father is fighting it?

Re: Relocation after a Divorce

Each relocation case is unique and usually the result reached by the court is very fact specific. Many people wishing to relocate with their children attempt to show the court that it would be in the children's best interest to relocate. This may be the case where the parent has a much more secure or financially rewarding employment position in the other state. There are also many cases in which most of the children's extended family members, and therefore a better support group for the children, reside in the other state. The person wanting to move should be able to show that the schools are better, or at least as good, that there is excellent health care for the children readily available, religious teaching, safety, and all of the various factors having to do with the welfare of the children.
