Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I was divorced in Missouri, children were with father. I live in Ohio and have since 2005. In 2006 my oldest daughter (14 at the tme) was ''thrown out'' of her fathers house and I was told to come get her. This summer during summer visitation with her father, I was informed that she was not coming back and all support was stopped by him without notice. Now I have been served papers of modification to pay child support, medical etc. The court date is December 8th. I am unemployed at this time and live with numerous friends and relatives. I have sought legal support thru legal aid (with a referal from legal aid of Western Ohio) and have been informed by the MO legal aid that they will not help me and to never contact them on this matter again. I have no attorney, no way to pay one and can't get representation. Is there any thing you can advise me to do so I will be able to be represented in the Missouri Court? ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

You might be able to request a telephone conference from the magistrate or judge handling this case. You also might be able to mail to the Missouri court a letter of explanation has to why you cannot attend, why you are not represented, and evidence that you have no funds. You could ask the magistrate if this is permissible.
