I recently served wife with divorce papers what if there is no response?

From your question it would appear that you are attempting to handle your divorce without representation. To answer your question, if there is no response filed with the court after thirty days following service then you can obtain a default judgment. However, I would strongly advise you to hire an attorney to provide legal advice and service to be sure that your rights are adequately protected. Many people mistakenly save themselves a modest amount of money up front by not hiring an attorney only to cost themselves a great deal of money in the long run due to not adequately protecting their legal rights at a time when various matters of extreme importance are determined by the court.
