Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I need someone to review my divorce as i dont believe it should have taken 3 years and cost 35 thousand and he was going to settle for just cash but i in the end had to pay 37 thousand to my husband when i never got a paycheck only grocery money.he postponed the case 3 times and reason was husbands refusing to produce discovery and in the end he still wouldnt but they got him to sign a paper and made me take my own paperwork to get notorized and ask if i had uestions about the changes i said yes but he had no time to do it court next day and i felt threatened or cohersed to answer yes to judge because lawyer had me convinced that judge was getting disturbed and if anything was said he would pound gavel and say just dismantel the company. ALSO I WOULD NEED TO GIVE LAWYER ANOTHER 15THOUSAND DOLLARSFOR TRIAL.

It sound slike you are considering a legal malpractice claim. You might contact Francis Hanna at or through the UMKC School of Law. He may be able to advise you or steer you toward someone who can evaluate your case for you. I cannot comment about yrou specific case, becaus eyou were nto able to provide u\enough facts here. But, it is not uncommon for adivrce case to go on for three years where there is a privately held business, and the spouses do not agree on the valuation.of property.
