PLEASE HELP !!!!My name is Rod Brown I am trying to help my niece.She had a child born in kansas city mo.4 days after birth her child was taken away,very upset she asked why,she was told cause she was an unstable adult and that she used her fathers address which is my brother,there is quite a bit to this case,I myself feel her has been a kidnaping here upon the states side as well as a discrimation law suit.Please help me help her as to finding the proper atty. whom is not afraid of going up aganist this issue. Thank you very much

If they have not already, the Commissioner will appoint an attorney to represent your neice, if she cannot afford one. These type of takings don't usuually happen unless the mother tested positive for illegal drugs when she was in labor, and/or had childrren removed before. Until the attorney gets appointed (or she hires one) it is important that she attend all team meetings and apperar to fully cooperate with those that took the child. Without knowing all the facts, it is impossible to predict if she has a claim for discrimination.
