Separate Financial Marriage

Is there a way to get married but to keep your financial liability separate we each own a business and do not want to assume each others debt in case of one of us not making the business work.....so am wonderintg if there is a legal way to separate us when it comes to finance including tax obligations...

Corporations cannot get married. If each of your businesses are incorporated, the marriage of a share holder is not a means to cause liability to the spouse. If the shareholder is not personally liable for the debts of a corporation, their spouse certainly would not be liable either.
