Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

In simple terms, what is an unemanicipated child? I have two children, 10 and 12. They do not live with me or my spouse. Court ordered. Is this an example? I pay child support for both children.

It is nearly impossible for a twelve year old to get emancipated. Emancipation generally that a minor no longer needs financial or physical sort from their patentee. It its rare, but when it occurs, it is normally a seventeen year old with a job and their own apartment. Until a Court declares a child to be emaciated, the parents can be ordered to pay support to the other parent, or a third party that is caring for the child.

Good luck
