Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am a single mother. I have never been married. So far, I have only done legal consultation in regards to custody of my son. I am afraid of my son's father (or a different family member) picking him up from daycare and trying to keep him from me. The daycare provider has expressed how she legally can not keep our son from his father if he comes to get him. Is this true? How do I protect myself and my son from this happening?

You did not indicate why child and father should not interact. If the father sure fit visitation and Custody, your efforts to prevent their relationship could be used against you. Unless you can demonstrate a safety reason, the father could get custody, and you would be paying support to him.

If you are genuinely concerned, consult directly with a family practice attorney, in your area.
