Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Small Town Judge or the law?

Situation- Divorced 1 dependent (16 years old) Currently spending a couple weeks in Juvi (State is charging me $800 a week) I have full custody and receive small child support- Father is responsible for half childs expenses (Specific- Medical, and other expenses)

Problem- We have medical bills for which I have been paying for the past 2 years (bike Accident)- As well as some fees from the state which the Judge has put under my SSN- (Father is not paying a dime)

Issue- Father is married to a court official- and Fees have been placed on me the mother (All of them)

Question- Who is responisble for paying the fees? Is it up to the Judge? or is there a law which states that both parties are responsible (remember that he is responsible for these fees under our divource)

Home Town Ref or is this normal?

ps. Financially he makes more than I

Thank you

T

Divorce decrees are not always binding on third parties or other courts. The judge in the juvenile case may be okay in ordering you to pay for the care, Under the facts you described, it appears that you may be able to sue your ex for reimbursement of his share that you pay, per the cusyody/support Order.

Good luck.
