Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My son has been raising his 2 sons for the past 2 years alone after his wife ran off & abandon them in Missouri. She has been living in Oklahoma then Kansas. Since this time their oldest son started school. During Christmas break she came down to visit. In the middle of the night she loaded up the kids & took them to Kansas. She called and got them put on welfare & had my oldest grandsons school records transferred to KS school.

Legally, can she uproot the children like that when they have an established home for the past 2 years with their father & are attending school here? They are not divorced.

Thank you!

Why didn't your son obtain a Court Order concerning the children at any time over the last two years? His failure to do so may very well have cost him the ability to keep the children here in Missouri. Have him consult with a domestic relations attorney in the area where he lives immediately.
