my son is getting ready to turn 18 in a week, my husband has raised him since he was 15 months old, and he wants my husband to adopt him. we live in missouri and i wondered if this was possible

Yes. In fact, it would be considered an adult adoption and, as adoptions go, is about the simplest and cheapest adoption possible.
