Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Out of state custody

I am not married to my sons father, by son just turned 2. His father told me yesterday that him and his girlfriend are moving to Virgina to stay with his father. We live in Missouri. He told me that they were going to get court ordered visitations, but I have a feeling they will try for more. I need to know what I can do to make sure I am prepared for if they try something. His father and I have a good relationship I just don't know what to do just in case.

Re: Out of state custody

A large majority of people believe that their cildren are the most important things in the world. For many people legal action concerning the custody of their children should be the most important thing in the owrld. There is absolutely not one doubt in the world that you should hire an attorney to represent you immediately. It was a mistake on your part to have a child without the benefits of marriage whether you personally think so or not. Please do not continue making such serious mistakes when it comes to your child. Hire an attorney.
