Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

taking my ex-husband back to court to not pay alimony

I stupidly signed an agreement within 48 hours of the marriage ending stating I would pay my ex-husband $538 alimony monthly for 2 1/2 yrs. We have no children together, and were married less than three years. I purchased 90% of the furnishings in the house which I also agreed to leaving with him. I have come to my senses and are not thinking with guilt now, but I need to know will it cost me more to take him back to court or just I just pay the alimony as agreed?

Your question does not give us enough information to provide any specific advice. I do wonder if you were represented by an attorney. Perhaps it would be best for you to make an appointment to consult with an attorney and share all of the relevant information. The attorney can then advise you as to your best option. If you do not already have an attorney, you may contact me a the office for a consultation.
