if you have temporary custody of a child and the mother dies does the document that we had written up and notarized still stand and can we get full custody of that child at this time?

If a mother gives temporary right to care for a child to someone other than the father, that authority probably ends at her death. if the pratnel rights of the father have nto been terminated, then he probably has sole custody rights. If it is the father that has the child, the custody arrangement between the parents probably ends at the death of the mother, and the father has sole custody, without the requirement to seek such an order form the court. If your situation does tno fit into these scenarios. you shoudl consult directly with an attorney in your area, who can have access to the particular facts of your situation. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation.

Good luck
