Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

Unmarried couple lives together and has 4 month old baby. Mother of child dies and father continues to care for the child.If his name is on birth certificate, does he need to go to court to file any motions?

Motions for what? Since the couple days sent married, her children inherit her intestste estate. Baby's father may need to have some things filed in the Probate Court to protect Baby's interest. Especially if she had other children. Baby's father might need to file dome things with SSA for baby to get survivor benefits.
