Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

unmarried parents one moving out of state

Can one parent move out of state legally without having it stated in legal documents? Parents were never married and have never done anything concerning child support or visitation through the courts system.

Re: unmarried parents one moving out of state

Is Dad on the birth certificate? Did the parents sign an Affidavit of Paternity after the child was born? Why isn't here a determination of paternity and child support order in effect? It is difficult to provide any response when you fail to provide all of the relevant information. If Dad is not legally the father of this child then Mom can move anywhere she wants to with the child. Dad has no legal rights regarding the child. Both Dad and Mom should hire attorneys to go to court and take the appropriate action to protect the legal interests of everyone concerned, including that poor child!
