Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

I am unmarried, pregnant and live in Missouri. The baby's father lives in Kansas. He has two children from a previous marriage. He and his ex have a verbal financial agreement and he does not pay court-ordered child support. When I request court-ordered child support, will the financial support he provides for his previous children be factored into the equation, even though it's not court-ordered child support? Thank you.

It is dificult to just answer "Yes" or "No" to your question. If the court is unaware of his other children, the support he pays for them may not be factored in. But, when determining his level of support, the fact that he has other children may be used in the calculation of what is to be paid by you. Keep in mind, when you go for supprot, he may sue for custody. It is possible that you could end up paying support to him. That is unlikely, but possible.

Good luck
