Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
Wanting to know rights in abuse case
My oldest daughter tried to pick up my infant and dropped her causing her left femur to be broken. The emergancy room turned it in to the hotline along with a false report of her being dirty and her craddle cap being untreated, because of this all three of my children have been put in my mom's care. They say it looks bad on us because our other daughter has had injuries, none of which have been investigated. ( a broken arm and a burn to the leg.) Child Serivces has only been notifying my mom of the progress in the case and I would like to know 1.
0 what i can do about the false part of the emergancy rooms report and 2.) what are my rights in this situation, don't I have a right to be informed also.

Re: Wanting to know rights in abuse case
If a case has been filed against you, you have the right to have an attorney working on your behalf. If you cannot afford one, the Court may appoint one for you. Call the DFS worker(s) assigned to your childrens' cases. that person should be able to tell you what is occurring and set up a visitation schedule for you.
Good Luck
