Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My wife and I live in the same state. Our daughter lived with us together for over 6 months. Several weeks ago, my wife left and moved 160 miles away to a different county, but daughter remained here. I wanted to file right away to avoid having problems. A few lawyers told me that since our daughter has been here the past 8 months and because any witnesses that would be brought in such as our family counselor are here, not to worry about her filing there as we could file a change of venue to have it moved back here. I was ready to file and just saw online she filed down ther a few days before, though I have not been served yet. Because its the weekend I can't reach my lawyer until Monday, so I'm definitely thinking hard about it since I hear conflicting arguments online about cause for change of venue. I believe that since this has been our daughters residence and since she resides here, has for 8 months, has her pediatrician here, and our family counselor that it should be granted to change venue. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect in this? My lawyer seemed positive it would be granted but I know all lawyers think differently.

I do not know on what basis a change of venue would be granted. You must defend yourself.
