Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

My wife and me moved to her dads house in Missouri last week and we are seperating but neither want to leave the child. So is it illegal for me to take my child to my mothers house in Nebraska without her consent?

Absent a divorce or other court action, either parent may take their child across state lines without obtaining permission from the other.
