Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri
My wife's father is a family law attorney.
We have been going through a divorce now for a year.
At least seven judged have had to recuse themselves for our case.
So a special judge was called in.
I done a bit of research and found out my soon to be ex father n law and his partner had a case under the special judge in November of 2012,
How can the judge be a special judge if he has had a case with my fathern law and his law partner in the past.

If a judge had to recuse himself every time he had presided over a case argued by one of the attorneys, each attorney would only be before each judge once. If the special judge had worked as a lawyer with her father, that might be grounds for recusal. Have you asked your attorney
