Legal Question in Family Law in Missouri

What happens if a woman has a 15 year old child that the guy does not know about and she files papers making him get a paternity test. What are his rights? Does he have to pay back child support when he didn't know about the child and he's unemployed and has a family with four kids

If the guy is determined to be the father, the Mother will get a child support order possibly retroactive to the date the guy was served with the lawsuit, but not retroactive back to the birth of hte child. The Mother might also get a Judgment for what the law refers to as "necessaries" or the costs of giving birth. In any event the guy should hire his own attorney to make sure that the guy's rights are protected. Good luck.
