Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

In 1993 I plead guilt to possession of drug paraphernalia. I was giving 1 year probation. I have been in no legal trouble since that time. I am now 51 and unemployed. I was recently fingerprinted by MOAPS for a school district. I was told by the HR person because of my criminal record I could not be hired. Is it possible to have this record expunged or pardoned? If so, what do I need to do to accomplish this?

Thank you,

Toby Hensley

You can seek to have the conviction expunged. There is a process, that your attorney can explain to you. It might be possible to do it Pro Se (on your own) but I have nto heard of a case where that was successful. Depending upon the depth of search they do, some government bodies might still find your arrest in records somewhere.

Good luck
