Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

accident

A person test driving a dealership car hit me. He had no valid drivers liscence. What are my rights in regard to getting a new car. My car was 1 year old.

Under Missouri law. you are entitled to the fair market value of your vehicle, or the cost of repairs. Gettign new car would put you in a better position than you were before you got hit. The courts do not award that. But, since it was a dealership that is responsible, you might be able to have yoru attorney work soemthing out with them. It is unlikely, but possible.
