Attorneys are Gods !!!

This is my issue with our attorneys Recently after having a jury award our grand son a very sizeable amount, the medical group being found at fault. the boys attorneys wanted his father to contest a ''cap'' comprised of state law . the purpose being to increase the amount of damages awarded to the boy to one hundred thousand above the amount currently allowed by the ''cap''. as the group of lawers advided that this process might take several years, all parties dug in for the painful wait. several months passed, and not having heard any thing from the attorneys , we took it upon our selves to check the web site of our states appeal court for an appeal by the other side. as no notice of appeal apeared any where , we assumed the case had not been apealed. nearly a year had passed and we get a call from are attorneys . THEY want us to let them apeal the case to the court in hopes of geting the judge to allow more moneys on the capped amount of the award , and know they tell us that the time the the other side has had to start an appeal has only now started as they say the judge was never asked to ''sign off'' on the jurys judgement. it seems to us our attorneys that are getting fourty % of the award. need to work with us
