Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

My daughter is 14 years old and has a boyfriend 15 years old. The father of the boy took his entire family as well as my daughter on a large camping trip. The father and I had an understanding that my daughter would be sleeping in a tent with girls only or with the grandmother and the guys would have their own tent. Unfortunately the father did NOT do this and told my daughter and his son to sleep in the same tent and they had sex. I am extremely upset at the fact that the father allowed this. And the father knew that they had sex. Is this father responsible at all?

When I asked the father about why he allowed this to happen he just responded "what else was I suppose to do the grandmother's tent was full!"

You should not allow your daughter to see this boy anymore. Write a letter to the father, letting him know that you expect him to keep his sone away form yoru daughter and that you may be seeking to take action about his poor supervision on the camping trip. This should get his cooperation in keeping the two apart. Call the police and make a reprot. Hopefully, they will do some investigation, and then let you know what if any laws they think were broken. If you do nothing, perhaps it will all blow over, and yoru daughter will regeret having sex. But, you could later be prosecuted for allowing your daughter to be put into the situation and not doing anyting after it occurred.

Good luck
