Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

Dealer has failed to deliver titles.

I paid $7800.00 by check for a used

boat, motor, and trailor from a boat

dealer in Southern Missouri. I have

asked him repeatedly for the titles,

and he won't hand them over to me

blaming everything on the local

license bureau. I talked to the local

license bureau, and they told me

they have no records of him doing

anything with those titles. What can

I do to get my titles? I've been

stopped repeatedly now by the water

patrol, and have been told that I can

no longer use my boat. Thanks.

Re: Dealer has failed to deliver titles.

It appears that you may need to sue this dealer, asking for your money back. This may enthuse the dealer to finish the sale. if that doe snot work, or insted, you may have sue to quiet the title to the boat and trailer.

Good Luck
