Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri
edit text
An ex's parents gave me a loan for $30,000 about seven months ago. Even though me and their daughter have parted ways I have still paid the amount I said I would each month $725. I have not missed one payment nor do I plan on it. I told them I would pay the 30K back and on top of that since I'm no longer with their daughter I agreed to 9% interest which is an extra $13,500 over the next five years. They have recently havegiven me a contract with quite a few strict and unrelenting stipulations that I was told should be signed within 10 days. Do I have to sign even though I've been paying them?

You haven't given enpugh information to give you a definite answer. Based upon what you did provide, their seems to be nothing that would require you to change the deal anymore than you want to. You said that you had offered to pay them so much a month, if they loaned you money,. and they accepted. The new terms in the written agreement iare probably just a proposal to amend the deal. . You should consult directly with a civil practice attorney. In the area, before deciding whether to sign the proposed written agreement.
Good luck
No but you are better off if you have specific terms in writing and you don't get into a swearing contest.
