Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri
My Grandfather wrote many personal letters during WWII addressed to his Father. These letters were apparently accidentally thrown out in a dumpster. Now years later, the letters have resurfaced and a WWII memrobilia website. The are photoed and detailed and the website is offering them for sale. I asked the owner where he got them and he said that he bought them from 2 homeless men. Is it legal for him to sell these letters? They contain personal information that my family does not want out. Please help.

You might ber able to get an injuction to stop the sale of these letters and possilby to prevent their contents form being divulged. This woudl force the seller to prove that he "bought" the letters and they they were not stolen.
Good luck
