Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

my husband and i purchased a truck from a car dealer, we paid the down payment in check which they cashed. got insurance on the truck, signed the contract. Now 2 weeks later they said since we changed jobs they want to take back the truck. Can they legally do that and what about our downpayment ? Is that money just lost?

Of course you woudl get all yrou money back. Maybe even more. It sounds like the delaer wants to terminate the deal. You shoudl ask them to conpensate you for yrou conveniece (sell the truck back to them) or to go on wih the deal as agreed.
