Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

loan to a frriend and now not paying

one of my friend lives inn Hyannis borrowed $40,000 from me. he gave me a promise note that he will pay in three months, now is more then 14 monthes. I would like to take legal action so I can get money from him. please let me know if you like to take this case if not please suggest lawyer who can help me out. also please let me know the time frame when court will hear this case. thanks, mahesh
