low long does a warrant last

I have a warrant from 4 years ago. how long before its thrown out?

The warrant is never "thrown out" automatically due to the passage of time. If this was true, there would be a great incentive for people to not show up for court and then hide out until the warrant was "thrown out". If you have an outstanding warrant, you should hire an attorney immediately. The attorney may be able to get the warrant cancelled or get a bond that you can make set up so that you can surrender yourself voluntarily at a time of your own choice and be processed out of custody quickly and without undue hassle.
