Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

I am in the process of trying to rent an apartment and was just told that I have an eviction on my credit, my problem is I have never heard of this before now and never received summons or anything. Is there anyway for me to get this off there?

You need to see where, if any, a lanlord tenant case was filed against you. If a case was filed, you may be able to get the judgment set aside, if you were not served. If the judgment was just for possession, it is unlikely that the former landlord would come forward to contest you having the judgment set aside. If no case was filed agisnt you, then you have a problem with possilby false information being reported about you. Contact the potential landlord that said you have an eviction on your record, and ask where they got that information. Follow that trail to see where, if anywhere, it says you were evicted.

Good luck
