Putting a lein on a residential property

If I was a subcontractor on a basement remodel and the home owner did not pay the final payment, can the subcontractor put a lien the property

Yes, the subcontractor can assert a mechanic's lien on the homeowner as well as the contract according to Missouri statutes. However, the procedures for asserting liens is quite tricky and must be followed to the T. Make sure that you consult with a qualified attorney before you pursue it.
