Obviously, there are many details that you do not have room to provide here. Therefore, it is impossible to give you specific advice about your case through this forum. But, generally speaking, officers lie to defendants. As long as the statute of limitations has not expired for the cirme you are accused of committing, the officer might be able to support and arrest warrant one year after the occurrence. They may not be bound to their verbal promise to "forget this happened" so you should contact an attorney in yrou area soon. That attorney can ask you follow up questions and investigate your specific case. Many lawyers offer a free or low cost initial consultation.
Good luck
Police lie to people all of the time. It always amazes me that anyone would believe their lies. You need to hire the best criminal defense attorney you can afford in or near to the location of the court in which your case(s) will be pending. If you are in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area, I might be able to offer legal services to you myself. I have been handling felony cases for defendants for over thirty-two years. Please feel free to contact me for a free telephone consultation. No matter what you decide to do, I wish you the very best of luck.
