Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri
My son is a student at University of Missouri. A couple weeks ago when he was crossing the street, he was hit by a car. He was about a fee away from the crosswalk. The driver is telling my son that he needs to pay the allegedly $2,200 in damages that was caused as a result of him hitting my son. My son has absolutey no income, no savings, etc. Does the drive have any real claim?
Thank you
Michelle

It is nearly possible to evaluate a case based upon so few facts. Your Son needs to consult directly with a civil practice attorney. But, he should have no contact with brother side until he does.
Good luck
