Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri
Can i sue for lack of payment for work done if there is no formal contract. All i have is an invoice that i emailed him and he mailed back to me stating that he did not sen me all of my money.

Under the facts you described, you can sue. But, you may have an evidentiary problem proving your case.

I would say that we need more information before we could provide a proper response. Some contracts are required to be in writing in order to be enforced at law. Perhaps you should consult with an attorney and give that attorney all of the important facts.
