Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

I got a ticket for my windows being to dark.....

I have done some research and found the law is 35% plus or minus 3% and the meter which they read the window with is plus or minus 2%. well the siting officer wrote down 27% and I went back and another officer read 28% so I am withing 2% of the law can I fight that it to close of percintages there for needs to be tossed out with no fine. which is 85.00

Unfortunately, traffic tickets like that are a form of taxation- either you get a lawyer and fight the ticket, or you pay it, or you fight it yourself and lose time from work, etc...

If you can get a reading yourself that is within the legal limits, and take that to the judge, he may dimiss the whole case. Also, the reporting officer may not appear on the court date, which will get the case dismissed- eventually, after a continuance or two.

Ultimately, this is going to cost you time and money, and if that is worth more to you than the $85 and nonmoving violation, then take on city hall! This is a lose-lose situation for you, though, and I don't have much better to offer you.
