Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Missouri

Hi, I have been told that I need a court order to obtain detailed cell phone records for my own cell phone account. I want records that show me the actual text message dialogs and the pictures that have been sent and received not just the generic info you get on your bill. I live in Missouri. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get a court order for this. I am not sure what type of law this falls under so I chose General Civil Litigation. Thank you.

I am not sure hat you have received accurate information. Depending upon your service provider you may very well be able to obtain the information you want directly. If there is a civil lawsuit already pending that involves those records, then an attorney could get a subpoena served upon the service provider requiring them to produce the records. But, beware most service providers only keep certain information for a limited amount of time and the information that you want may no longer be available at all if you delay.
