Legal Question in Health Care Law in Missouri
Nursing Home eviction due to lies to the state
I got a 30 day letter of discharge which I appealed to the state. The Director of Nursing lied under oath causing me to lose my appeal. Now I must appeal to the Jackson County Court. None of the organizations I've contacted will give me any help on how to go about filing this appeal, like what forms I need, where do I file them, etc. I have until 6-9-06 to get this done or I'll be evicted. What do I do?

Re: Nursing Home eviction due to lies to the state
1. Contact the state ombudsman's office and ask for their help.
2. contact the Missouri Coalition for Quality Care. (www.mcqc.org I think) and ask for help from them.
3. You can retain a lawyer to file the appeal in circuit court. Depending on where you live, there are multiple attorneys who might be able to assist you.
