Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri
Duration of Family based Immigration
I have submitted my family based ( My sife is U.S citizen) immigration case in August 2002 and then Local office asked me for finger printing and Interview of me and my wife. They gave me a paper said that I have been granted. Since then I have contacted the office once by myself and couple of other times through my Lawyer. Each time we ask they sat it's processing. Me and wife are planning to travel and a lot of other things but this prolonging process is bieng very troublesome. Now it's October 2004 there is no response at all. I will appreciate that if you can tell me what is the best thing to do now.

Re: Duration of Family based Immigration
First, it is always best to speak to your attorney about the status of your case since he/she will be up to speed with the details. In the alternative, you should be discussing options for travel documents with your attorney. It appears as if Advance Parole is the most practical option. I would be surprised that you have not already discussed this with your attorney (unless you were out of status at the time of your AOS application). If you would like to speak to me you can contact me at (732) 985-1310.
