Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri
f1 work authorisation
I am a grad student on F 1 status in USA.i obtained a summer intern at Oklahoma , but i did not work for the company , i underwent a 3 day training program, i was not paid nor was i eligible for any benefits.
inspite of this , my school says it is a violation of rules and deems me as out of status.
is it fair on their part?
is there anyway which i can appeal or convince them?
pls suggest

Re: f1 work authorisation
It depends on whether or not the work was part of an Optional Practical Training program, flowing derivatively from your F-1 Student Visa. Please call the office at (212) 618-1830 to speak with an attorney to discuss this in greater detail.
