Legal Question in Immigration Law in Missouri

Sponsor my mother

I recently acquired US citizenship and would like to sponsor my mother. My situation is little different as I am a full time mother and student myself. I am currently surviving on student loans/scholarships. I would need my mom to be around to handle my kids as I would be starting law school full time and would be away from home for long hours. Since I am financially not too strong then how can u best advice me on my situation? Right now I am visiting my parents overseas after 7 yrs, is it possible to get paperwork done before I leave?

Pls help meThanks

Re: Sponsor my mother

You'll need to find a joint-sponsor in time for her consular interview.

You can go ahead and apply for her immigrant visa petition now however.

Please feel free to contact me if you require formal assistance on this matter.

My total legal fee is $950.

Re: Sponsor my mother

Get the i-130 filed as soon as possible. When it is approved, you will need to show the ability to financial support yourself and your mother; the poverty guidelines show how much minimum income is required for a certain number of family relatives. If you don't have that much, try to find a joint sponsor who would be willing to help you sponsor your mom. Good luck!
