Legal Question in Insurance Law in Missouri
Extended Warranty bankruptcy
We purchased an extended warranty for a used car approximately 18 months ago. In the past 60 days, we have had two claims, both of which have been rejected since the warranty company has recently filed for bankruptcy. We purchased this extended warranty from the car dealer and the cost of the policy was included in the total car purchase. What options do we have in recouping these costs from the warranty company or the dealer?

Re: Extended Warranty bankruptcy
This does not appear to be an insurance question. Most extended warrantys are not insurance. You need to file a claim in bankruptcy court. Without reading the warranty and obtaining additional information, I cannot determine if you have a claim against the dealer. Be that as it may, I would check with the dealer to determine if they will still honor the warranty.
