Legal Question in Insurance Law in Missouri
Do not sign without reading!
I made the mistake of using my credit card to allow a relative to rent a car. I did not drive it. I did not even ride in it. Extra insurance was not purchased. There was an accident. Since I signed for the car, I have just been summoned for a court appearance. I realize that I will be going to court in a couple weeks. I know that I am not responsible for the accident. What do I do?

Re: Do not sign without reading!
First of all, you need to hire an attorney to represent you. Your post does not state what you are being sued for, or where you are being sued. It is possible that some insurance you have may apply and will provide an attorney for you. If not, it is possible that the attorney you hire may defend the action brought against you with success. If this is a matter pending in the Eastern half of the state, I may be able to offer my services. You may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
