Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Missouri

programming related lawsuit

I am being sued for stealing my ex employers computer program, and my computer was seized by the court to be inspected. I was writing my own program at the time, which was nearly 90% finished. I was devoting all my time to it. The computer was inspected and nothing was found, now he is saying he wants me to agree to never code point of sale and abandon the program, or he will drag this out forever. I am out of money and need to get this settled somehow. I need my computer back so I can work. Is there any way for me to put an end to this? He has already inspected it once and found nothing, by his own admission.

Re: programming related lawsuit

Unfortunately, it takes money to defend cases or takes a pro bono lawyer to help you. I suggest you contact the Missouri Bar and ask if there is any referral to a pro bono lawyer.
