Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Missouri
my daughter moved from my home at 17 i went to police to see if i could stop her they said i could not in missouri they are legal adults at that age she got a big hospitol bill and now there trying to tell me im responcible for payment

You may have to have yrou chidl declared emancipated, in order to escpe liability for the hospital bill. But, it may be worht the try to deny the bill because, A) you child did not reside with you at the time of the bill, an d B) you did not give them consent to do anythiung to your child. But, if the bill was for necessary servcies, as opposed to an elective procuedure, you may not be able to escape the bill. If you had done the emaciaption claim earlier you might have.
