Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri
medical negligence
I was injured on the job 14 months ago. My company has refused treatment and even fired the company doctor for acusing them of medical negligence when he informed them it was needed. I have sought my own medical care and have turned it over to the comp board. 4 month wait for an emergency hearing. I don't have time on my side with this injury that is very serious and detiorating into unreversable damage. Is there another way to get help outside of W.C.? Is there litagation for medical negligence by a corporation?

Re: medical negligence
Have teh attorney that is handling your WC case seek the emergaency hearing again. If you do not have an attorney handling the case for you, then you now know why the hearing is taking so long. However, your health is more important than your WC claim. Do what the doctors ask of you, without waitin gfor approval from the coemployer. When your doctor prescribes and treatment regimen or proscribes some strenuous activity, let your employer (and the WC Div.) know as soon as possible IN WRITING.
