Wage Discrimination

If I file a charge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for wage discrimination on the basis of sex, can I do so without them disclosing my name to my employer? If the EEOC determines the case as a right to sue is when I would rather have my name disclosed when I filed suit against the employer.

Unfortunately the EEOC will send a notice to your employer with a lot of information including your name. To do an effective investigation the EEOC will need to compare the treatment you received with how your employer treats other male employees in a similar position. There is no way to do that without disclosing your name. I would not let that stop me from filing a claim if I were you. It is illegal to retaliate against someone for filing an EEOC complaint.
