Legal Question in Employment Law in Missouri

Wages owed by a company that closed down.

My employer called me on a Monday morning to let me know that she was closed the business down on Friday afternoon. I am owed about $15,000.00 by the company for back wages earned. I was told they would try to pay me, but haven't heard from them. They did not file for bankrupcy. It was a corporation under the state of Missouri.

I have made atempts to contact them, but get no response.

Is there any recourse for me to get the money owed me.

Re: Wages owed by a company that closed down.

If you have made unsuccessful demands for payment of what you are accurately owed, your chances of sucess on your own do not go up with time. You probably need someone to battle on your behalf. Contact an attorney you trust, give them all the details and documents and see what they can do for you.

I can perhaps assist you. You may send me the documentation that shows how much you are owed, as well as the identity and address of your former employer. If I choose not to take your case, I may know someone in yoru area who can help you.
